Bob rarely appeared as a guest on the radio, and since his passing in November 2005, this show is all the more valuable to help preserve the legacy of one of the world's great (but rather low-profile) UFO investigators. Induced After-Death Communication (IADC) for Grief Therapy

On April 4th, I will interview Cathy Parker a licensed psychotherapist from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is a practictioner of the amazing new grief therapy technique known as Induced After-Death Communication ( IADC ). She was trained by Allan Botkin of Libertyville, Illinois the clinical psychologist who invented this procedure in 1995.

Botkin is careful to point out that he is not making any claims about the ontological status of the communications with the dead he seems to be facilitating, only that his technique has been incredibly successful in eliminating symptoms of grief in his suffering patients. Doubtless his great therapeutic results is accounted for by the fact that almost all of his clients are absolutely convinced that IADC has put them into intimate contact with the departed person.

All this is accomplished without any of the metaphysical trappings of the seance room. In the pedestrian daylight setting of a doctor's office, the patient is put into a light trance, asked to follow the movements back and forth of a stick to simulate the REM of the dreaming state, then told to shut his eyes. Then the deceased shows up in his head for a casual conversation, seeming just as vividly present as in real life.

Cathy has been a clinical social worker for 18 years and is licensed for private practice in Tennessee and Georgia. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The Florida State University. In her private practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she specializes in the treatment of women’s issues, grief, and couple’s therapy. February 13, 2007 – John Vasquez and Bruce Stephen Holmes

Incident at Fort Benning

Last week I interviewed John Vasquez and Bruce Stephen Holmes, co-authors of the book "Incident at Fort Benning." This book is an account of the mass abduction of 1300 men (a whole battalion!) at Fort Benning, Georgia, in 1977.

John is the only one who has ever come forward with this amazing story. He was in total amnesia about all this until his flashbacks started occurring in 1988.

This case that might otherwise be too wild to be believed is backed up by some very curious types of corroborating evidence that Vasquez and Holmes have worked hard to put together which I personally find pretty convincing. Hear this amazing interview and judge for yourself.

Book Description
In September 1977, during the Joint Attack Weapons Systems Test (JAWS) at Fort Benning Georgia, the entire base witnessed a UFO invasion. As many as 1300 troops were involved in the event. Most were left with severe psychological trauma and "missing time" gaps. John Vasquez was courageous enough to undergo counseling, regression therapy, and hypnosis. After 15 years of personal research, John and co-author, Bruce Stephen Holms present the story along with plenty of government documentation. Readers are asked to enter this experience with an open mind. After reviewing the official documents and scrutinizing the appendix make up your own mind regarding the Incident At Fort Benning.

From Chapter 1 (The Beginning): April 19, 1989 I woke up from a horrific nightmare about 'blurry' faces... so real that I was convinced that it was not a dream...it became crystal clear that the faces were of my army buddies standing in formation with me...they appeared to be asleep while standing in formation.

About the Authors
John Vasquez, a San Diego county resident, has spoken to both Orion and the San Diego UFO Society. He describes an incident, which he remembers from September of 1977, in which he remembers a lot of strange things including a UFO attack. He remembers as many as 1300 troops being involved and all experiencing trauma as a result. John Vasquez underwent counseling, regression therapy, and hypnosis to deal with these memories. His commitment to the investigation of these disturbing memories has led to a great deal of personal time spent collecting evidence that the incident occurred.

After 15 years of research, John and co-author, Bruce Stephen Holms wrote a book and included collected government documentation, taking up about a third of the book. Although I have not personally investigated this case, I have met John and talked with him more than once and believe he has had some kind of experience. It is possible that he was part of an hallucinogenic gas experiment of some kind. It is also possible that he was part of a real UFO attack, government simulated or otherwise.

As we find more evidence of water and/or life on Mars, it is less controversial to suggest that there have been interactions with extraterrestrial intelligences. The Drake Equation is altered each time we find that life is more prevalent than previously believed. Nevertheless, this incident is extraordinary in more than one way.

John remembers large groups of soldiers being transported instantly from one location to another without warning or reason. He remembers everyone falling asleep in formation while standing after a bright light passes them, silently, over a runway. He remembers injuries from beams of light that left red burns with yellow dots. He has collected evidence that fourteen soldiers were hospitalized for measles during an outbreak in September of 19771. This would seem unlikely as he says everyone in the army at that time was vaccinated against measles. At the same time there was a test program called JAWS 2 (Joint Attack Weapons Systems Test) which, in an article from the Ledger, is called "...Battlefield of Future." Many more such documents are included in the book.

Although I believe that something happened, there is no reason why this couldn't be explained as the confused memories of a victim of hallucinogens. He has located a couple of other people who he remembers being there and none have been willing to talk about it that he can currently locate. Most of the soldiers he remembers were sent away after the incident and those he can find are not able or willing to help him locate the others. His search is difficult because much of what happened is probably classified. He is open to the possibility that there is a terrestrial explanation for all this, but determined to continue searching for the truth till he finds it. His book is entertaining and although many of the actions taken by himself and the other soldiers are questionable, the circumstances are extraordinary, if he remembers them right. He also hopes that the book and any mention of his experience will trigger a memory in one of his buddies and that they will contact him with any additional information.
